radius = 5cm
and in fig it's shown that in square there are four quadrants of circle
so
1 quadrant = 1/4 of circle
so 4 quadrants = 4*1/4 = 1 circle
now area of circle = πr^2 = 3.14*5*5 =78.5
side of square = 5+5 = 10
area of square = 10^2 = 100
now area of shaded part = area of square - area of circle
area of shaded part = 100-78.5 = 21.5cm^2
