How did it result in Horace failure in robbery his attempt at the house at Shot Over Grange ?

Horace Danby was suffering from hay fever, due to which he sneezed whenever the smell of flowers from the great below flowers on the table was felt by his nose. He had planned really well to rob the jewellery hidden in the safe behind a great painting. But the only mistake he did was, he did not research anything about the owner of the house. That is the reason he thought that the woman in red was the owner of the house. The woman so fooled him and robbed the jewellery instead of him. She robbed it in such a way that Horace's footprints helped the police arrest Horace instead of the woman. This is how he failed in robbing the house at Shot over Grange.
