Question:-

On what factors does acceleration due to gravity depend? An object weighs 600 N on the earth. Find its weight on the surface of given mass of the moon=7.4 x 10" ke, radius of the moon 1.74 x 10 m.

Answer:-

Factors on which acceleration due to gravity depends are:

•Height- acceleration due to gravity (g) decreases as one moves away from the surface of the earth.

•Depth - g decreases with increase in depth.

•Latitudes- value of g is maximum at the poles and minimum at the equator.

Given,

Mass of moon= 7.4×10²²

Radius of moon= 1.74×106

g=GM/R² where, G = Gravitational constant

(6.7×10-¹¹)

M= mass

R= Radius

g= 6.7×10-¹¹× 7.4× 10²² / (1.74×106 )²

= 1.62 m/s²

Weight = m x g

600 = m x 9.8

m = 600/ 9.8

= 61.22

Weight on surface of moon = : 61.22 × 1.62.

= 99.17 N

Answer:

Discipline helps you stay focused on the task that you are doing. When a student stays disciplined, it's easier for them to remain on top of things, i.e., their studies and personal lives. A well-disciplined person finds it easier to be happy because they do not face tension
