Number (a) :-
From the above given description, we can understand the Kepler's laws of planetary motion.
Number (b) :-
According to Kepler's second law [Law of areas], we know that 'the line joining the planet and the sun sweeps equal areas in equal intervals of time'.
Thus :-
Area of X₃OY₃ = Area of X₁OY₁ ,
when t₂ = t₁
Now, in the question it is given that :-
Ar.X₃OY₃ = n × Ar.X₁OY₁
Thus, according to Law of Areas, relation between t₁ and t₂, will be :-
=> n × t₁ = t₂
∴ t₂ = nt₁
Number (c) :-
Kepler's third law [Law of Periods] is used to formulate inverse square law of gravity i.e. F ∝ 1/r² .
Law of periods : The cube of mean distance of a planet from the sun is proportional to the square of its orbital period T.
=> r³ ∝ T² or r³/T² = constant
