Answer:

1. The divisibility rule for two states that any number with the last digit of 0, 2, 4, 6, or 8 will be divisible by 2. Simply put, any even number is divisible by 2.

Eg:- 246 ends in 6, that means it is divisible by 2.

2.f the sum of the digits of a number is divisible by 3, then the number is divisible by 3. Some examples of numbers divisible by 3 are as follows.

Eg:- The number 85203 is divisible by 3 because the sum of its digits 8+5+2+0+3=18 is divisible by 3.

3. The basic rule for divisibility by 4 is that if the number formed by the last two digits in a number is divisible by 4, the original number is divisible by 4.

Eg:- 100 is divisible by 4 and so adding hundreds, thousands, etc. is simply adding another number that is divisible by 4.

4. Divisibility by 5 is easily determined by checking the last digit in the number (475), and seeing if it is either 0 or 5. If the last number is either 0 or 5, the entire number is divisible by 5. If the last digit in the number is 0, then the result will be the remaining digits multiplied by 2.

Eg:- The number 40 ends in a zero (0), so take the remaining digits (4) and multiply that by two (4 × 2 = 8).

5. The prime factors of 6 are 2 and 3. So for a number to be divisible by 6, it must also be divisible by 2 and 3. Therefore, we need to check if a number is even and then check if the sum of the digits is divisible by 3.

Eg:- 630, the number is divisible by 2 as the last digit is 0. The sum of digits is 6+3+0 = 9, which is also divisible by 3. Hence, 630 is divisible by 6.

6. Prove that when a number is divisible by 7 , 7, 7, the result when subtracting twice the last digit from the number formed by the remaining digits is a multiple of 7. 7.

Eg:- 12264 by 7, we simply check 4(1) + 6(3) + 2(2) + 2(6) + 1(4) = 4 + 18 + 4 + 12 + 4 = 42, a two-digit number divisible by 7.

7. A number is divisible by 8 if the last three digits are evenly divisible by 8.

Eg:- 17216. The last three digits are 216 and it is divisible by 8. Thus, 17216 is divisible by 8.
