10. Length of the field = 140 m.
Breadth of the field = 36 m.
One labour can plough in a day = 120 m^2
Now,
Area of the field = l * b
=> Area = 140 * 36
=> Area = 5040 m^2
Then,
No. of labours required to plough the field in a day = Area / 120
=> No. of labours = 5040 / 120
=> No. of labours = 42....
11. Rate of tiling = 5/cm^2
length of courtyard = 30 m.
breadth of courtyard = 15 m.
Now,
Area of courtyard = 30 * 15
=> Area = 450 m^2
Then,
Cost of tiling = Area * Rate
=> Cost = Rs. (450 * 5)
=> Cost = Rs. 2250......
