by using triangle law of vector addition

R² = F² + F² + 2 F² cos 60

R² = 2 * 5² + 2 * 5² * 1/2

R² = 50 + 25

R² = 75

R = 8.7 N

so the magnitude of resultant is 8.7 N

According to Vector addition Resultant force will be

r = \sqrt{ {5}^{2} + {5}^{2} + 2 \times 5 \times 5 \cos(60) }

r = \sqrt{50 + 50 \times 1 \div 2}

r = \sqrt{75}

r = 8.7 N
