a) A series of organism linked with each other through the process of eating and being eaten forms of food chain . each step of a food chain is called of tropic level .


b) A pyramid of numbers is the representation of the numbers of organisms at different trophic levels of a food chain . it shows producers at the base, with the various consumers arranged successively upwards .the number of organisms generally decreases at each level of the pyramid .


c) ✳️Parasites that live on the surface of the host body are called ectoparasites .

Example :lice, ticks, mites.

✳️Parasites that live inside the body of the host are called endoparasites .

Example: tape worm .


d) Commensalism is a relationship in which one organism called the commensal benefits from the other the other organism called the host is neither benefited not harmed by this relationship .

Example : Remoras are marine fish that attach themselves to large Marine animals such as Sharks ,whales, rays and turtles .


e) Mutualism benefits both organism in the relationship .

Example: different species of nitrogen fixing bacteria suggest rhizobium live within the roots of leguminous plants .
