Answer the question please! - If I take two glasses with full of water I dipped a stone in 1st glass the water overflows next I take a cotton ball of same size and dipped it in the 2nd glass the water didn't overflows what is the reason behind it ?​

when you dip a cotton ball in water, usually cotton have very light weight when in small quantities, and it has more room space inside the ball when you dip the cotton the cotton absorb the water which not results in overflowing
