Ques7 ] Describe Ms. Sullivan as an innovative mentor .

Ans.] → Ms. Annie Mansfield Sullivan entered little Helen's life as a new ray of Hope . She had a major hand in imbibing values of positivity , hope and endurance in her . She ignited her life with the spark of education .

→ She had a deep insight into little Helen's mind . She was no doubt an innovative teacher and a mentor . She never forced Helen for anything . Also , she kept in mind to include all subjects in her lessons.

→She began to teach her from the very first day she met her . By gifting her a doll , she spelled the word 'd_o_l_I' on her palm : thereby beginning her very first lesson.

→She tired to teach her new things in innovative ways . Most of the times her lessons were conducted in the midst of nature . We can find many instances how she teaches in her in various innovative ways - teaching her geography through raised maps , imbibing love for nature, taking her for various outings etc.

★Putting into nutshell , Ms. Sullivan proved to be a ray of hope - that came into little Helen's life and helped her get out of darkness . Helen herself described her life like a ship without a compass before the arrival of her loving teacher !

Ans.] →Mildred was Helen's younger sister . Her birth had created a sense of insecurity in Helen's mind in the initial stages . It seemed to her like she had averted all the love and attention of her mother towards her . So , she was quite jealous of her . But soon things got better as they seemed to get a long very well !

→Mildred was a very keen , observant and An attentive child . This was clear from the incident that happened when they were spending time at Fern Quarry . So , it was the time when they'd gone to collect persimmons in the woods . But soon , it began to grow dark and it seemed that Helen and Mildred had lost their way !

→So, it was Mildred who found out the shortcut to their home . Also , as they started walking through the bridge , a train seemed to be arriving through the lane. Once again , the girl showed her alertness and warned Helen regarding the same. The train went past beside them.

★So, basically it was Mildred's alertness that saved them from the terrible incident that could have occurred .

Ans. ] →Dr. Alexander Graham Bell , now well known as the inventor of telephone was a doctor who used to volunteer for the disabled . When she was around 6 years old , Helen had her very first meeting with him .

→Helen went and sat in his lap. She was quite curious 'bout the watch he was wearing and to please the child , he made it strike for her time and again ! Dr. Bell understood little Helen's signs and signals very well . He felt quite pity for her . It was only through him that Helen met Mrs. Annie Sullivan - the one who shaped her future .

→It was in the year 1893 , when Helen went to the global World Fair ! Here , Dr. Bell proved to be an excellent companion to her . He helped her look around each n every thing - showing to her the various things of interest . He imparted all needed knowledge to her 'bout the objects .

★Putting into nutshell , Dr. Bell proved to be a great guide as well as a loving friend to Helen . He was a man with a great character - with kindness and love for all !
