What is the poem about?

- Dr. Abdul Kalam had a strong connection to his family, particularly his mother.
- His mother, who came from a very low-income household, gave a lot up to raise the kids. Kalam has therefore often produced poetry that express the suffering of his mother.
- In this particular poetry, he talks about how much his mother loves him compared to the rest of his siblings, who are jealous of him because he is adored more.
- He claims to have been only 10 years old at the time, but he recalls clearly how she sobbed in the middle of the night as she lamented the daily suffering her kid must undergo.
