Steps :
1) Since, z is not equal to 1 .
z +  \frac{1}{z}  =  - 1 \\  =  >  {z}^{2}  + z + 1 = 0 \\  =  \geqslant  {z}^{3}  = 1
2)
( {z}^{2}  +  \frac{1}{ {z}^{2} } ) = \:  {(z +  \frac{1}{z} )}^{2}  - 2 \\  =  >   { (- 1)}^{2}  - 2 =  - 1

And
( {z}^{3}  +  \frac{1}{ {z}^{3} } ) = 1 + 1 = 2
