Solution :-

1. Car moves with the speed of 30 km/h for 1/2 hrs . Then with the speed of 40 km/h for 2 hrs .

Distance covered

= 30 × 1/2 + 40 × 2

= 15 + 80

= 95 km

Now Avg speed

 = \dfrac{Total \: distance}{Total \: time}

 = \dfrac{ 95}{2 + 1/2 }

 = \dfrac{ 95}{ 5/2}

 = \dfrac{190}{5}

 = 38 \: km/h
