The outer ear is the external part of the ear. The function of the outer ear is to collect sound waves and to direct them into the ear. Important parts of the outer ear are the pinna, the ear canal and the ear drum. The auricle (pinna) is the visible portion of the outer ear. It collects sound waves and channels them into the ear canal (external auditory meatus), where the sound is amplified.

Answer:

Q15 (a) 1Ω (b)3Ω

Q16  3Ω & 8/3Ω

Explanation:

Q15 (a) Branch AC and AB is in Series so, resistance between upper branch is 2Ω. This branch is in parallel with the lower branch, so, using formula of parallel combination, it comes to be 1c

(b) Two resistances worth 2Ω are in series to one 2Ω resistor. do the working yourself.

Q16 Across AB,

Ad CD and CB are in series, so AB equivalent of upper branch is 6Ω.This 6Ω is parallel to the other 6Ω resistor in figure below. So, net is 3Ω.

Across Ac,

Here's a tip, put a battery across points A and C as if its a diagonal of the square.

This forms, AD AC in series upwards, Ab BC in series downwards.

Upper and lower resistance combination, worth 4Ω and 8Ω respectively.

These are in parallel to each other making an equivalence of \frac{8}{3} Ω.
