To Do:

  • Add  2x^2 + 3xy - 5 \:and\: 7 + 2xy - x^2
  • Subtract  3xy + x^2 - 2 from the above sum.

Solution:

 \left[(2x^2 + 3xy - 5) + (7 + 2xy - x^2)\right] - (3xy + x^2 - 2) \\\\\implies \left[2x^2 + 3xy - 5 + 7 + 2xy - x^2\right] - (3xy + x^2 - 2) \\\\\implies \left[x^2 + 5xy + 2\right] - (3xy + x^2 - 2) \\\\\implies x^2 + 5xy + 2 - 3xy - x^2 + 2 \\\\\implies x^2 - x^2 + 5xy - 3xy + 2 + 2 \\\\\bf{\implies 2xy + 4}

Hope it helps!!
