Gɪᴠᴇɴ :-

  • Median of (x/10), (x/5), (x/7), (x/2), (x/9) is 14.

Tᴏ Fɪɴᴅ :-

  • Value of x ?

Fᴏʀᴍᴜʟᴀ ᴜsᴇᴅ :-

Median :- The median of a set of data is the middlemost number in the set. The median is also the number that is halfway into the set. To find the median, the data should first be arranged in order from least to greatest.

→ If there is an odd number of terms, the median is the center term. = (n+1)/2 th Term.

→ If there is an even number of terms, add the two middle terms and divide by 2 = {(n/2 term)+(n/2+1) term}/2

Sᴏʟᴜᴛɪᴏɴ :-

Ascending Order :- (x/10) , (x/9) , (x/7), (x/5) , (x/2).

No. of Terms :- 5 = Odd.

Median = (n + 1)/2 th Term. = (5+1)/2 = 3rd Term. = (x/7)

Median is given 14.

So,

(x/7) = 14

→ x = 14 * 7

→ x = 98 (Ans.)

Hence, Value of x will be 98.
