Answer:

(i)

 \frac{x + 2}{6}  - ( \frac{4(11 - x) - 3}{12}) =  \frac{3x - 4}{12}

so

 \frac{x + 2}{6}  - ( \frac{44 - 4x - 3}{12} ) =  \frac{3x - 4}{12}

 \frac{x + 2}{6}  -  \frac{41 - 4x}{12}  =  \frac{3x - 4}{12}

 \frac{2(x  + 2) - 41 - 4x}{12}  =  \frac{3x - 4}{12}

 \frac{2x + 4 - 41 - 4x}{12}  =  \frac{3x - 4}{12}

 \frac{ - 2x - 47}{12} =  \frac{3x - 4}{12}

so now

12(-2x-47) =12(3x-4)

-24x-564=36x-48

-564+48=36x+24x

-516=60x

 \frac{ - 516}{  60}

 \frac{ - 258}{ 30}

 \frac{ - 129}{15}

x= 8.6
