As it is given that the triangles are similar, the corresponding sides are proportional i.e,

AB/CD=AM/CM=MB/MD

Substituting the given values we get,
y/z=x/MD
MD=(x×z) /y
=xz/y

answer

DM=

|AMB=|CMD

AB//CD

MB/MC=MA/MD (Basic proportionality theorem)

x/z=DM/y

DM =xy/z

MadhavNNambi: bro, your is good, but basic proportionality theorem has no role in solving the question
MadhavNNambi: sorry your answer
Vs2730: ok
MadhavNNambi: no problem bro anyway you gave the correct answer
Vs2730: thanks
MadhavNNambi: welcome bro
