Helen Keller was a deaf and blind American writer and speaker.She was born in Tuscumbia,Alabama in 1880. She lost her hearing and sight at the young age of 19 months hence she made use of sign language to communicate with her family .She was able to speak and write due to the guidance and teaching of a woman,who was blind but had an operation to regain her sight,named Anne Sullivan.She gained education from Perkins Institute until she turned 19 after which she went to Radcliffe College in Massachusetts and earned the Degree of Bachelors of Arts and learned to read braille. She wrote 14 books out of which one was her life story and another about Anne Sullivan .She was very famous .  She died in her sleep on 1 June 1968 at Arcan Ridge in Connecticut .She reminds us of the lesson that nothing is impossible to do if one wants to do it.
