Answer:

1. Endocytosis brings materials to the inside of the cell while exo takes them out.

Exocytosis has the vesicle being formed in the golgi apparatus which then fuses with the membrane, while endo has the vesicle. formed from the cell membrane which then gets into the cytoplasm.

Exocytosis increases the size of the cell membrane while endo does the opposite.

2.There are three types of endocytosis: phagocytosis, pinocytosis, and receptor-mediated endocytosis.

a) In phagocytosis or “cellular eating,” the cell’s plasma membrane surrounds a macromolecule or even an entire cell from the extracellular environment and buds off to form a food vacuole or phagosome. The newly-formed phagosome then fuses with a lysosome whose hydrolytic enzymes digest the “food” inside.

b)In pinocytosis or “cellular drinking,” the cell engulfs drops of fluid by pinching in and forming vesicles that are smaller than the phagosomes formed in phagocytosis. Like phagocytosis, pinocytosis is a non-specific process in which the cell takes in whatever solutes that are dissolved in the liquid it envelops.

c)receptor-mediated endocytosis is an extremely selective process of importing materials into the cell. This specificity is mediated by receptor proteins located on depressed areas of the cell membrane called coated pits. The cytosolic surface of coated pits is covered by coat proteins. In receptor-mediated endocytosis, the cell will only take in an extracellular molecule if it binds to its specific receptor protein on the cell’s surface. Once bound, the coated pit on which the bound receptor protein is located then invaginates, or pinches in, to form a coated vesicle

3.Exocytosis is important for the cell to secrete products like hormones or enzymes to the outside so other body parts can make use of them like insulin and digestive enzymes from the pancreas.

4.Endocytosis is not shown by plant cells because a rigid cell wall is present over the plasma membrane in them. Thus, this process is found in animals only.

5. A concentrated solution of salt means high solute content than solvent. When we drink highly concentrated solution of salt, the water from the cells move out to balance the concentration because the solute concentration is higher outside than inside. This balance of solute solvent content both inside and outside of a cell is called osmosis.

When water moves out of the cell to balance, the cells shrink and since there is concentrated solution of salt, the cells will shrink to a highly dangerous level. This cases excess water in the stomach and cause a person too vomit.

6. The salt helps in this. The salt is mixed in pickles to prevent spoilage.

This is the reason for long life of pickles.

And ,in the case of jams ,the sugar is mixed to prevent spoilage.

That's the reason for long life of jams.
