Let me explain the concept of phrases and clauses.

Phrases :- These are simply those words which don't give a complete sense but give a haphazard idea to the reader. They may also have a different meaning from what we think on reading it. It may act like an idiom.

Clauses:- These are words which give a complete sense but they don't form a sentence. They are transitive and hence need completion.
