18. An angle is equal to one third of its supplement.

Supplementary angles -: When two angles are equal to 180 degrees they are known to be supplementary angles.

Let the angle be y

Supplement of y = 180°-y

y = \frac{1}{3} (180-y)

3y = 180-y

4y = 180

y = \frac{180}{4}

y = 45

∴ The measure is equal to b) 45°

19.  An angle is equal to eight times its complement.

Complementary Angles -: When two angles are equal to 90 degrees they are known as complementary angles.

Let the angle be x.

Complement of x = 90° - x

x = 8*(90-x)\\

x = 720 - 8x

9x = 720

x = \frac{720}{9}

x = 80

∴The measure is equal to b) 80°.
