Heya !!!

This is your answer....

a). What is the nature of mirror having a focal length of +15 cm??

Answer :::----

We know that distances measured from the left of pole are negative and that of right of the mirror is positive.

In convex mirror, the focus is on the right to the pole and hence, it is positive. The image formed in convex mirror are always Virtual. Also virtual images are always erect in nature.

So the answer is Convex Mirror.

b). What is the nature of mirror having focal length of -20 cm??

Answer ::::----

As I have mentioned in first answer that distances measured from left is negative.

If we observe concave mirrors, the focal length is to left of the mirror and hence it is negative. Images formed by concave mirror are both real and virtual.
Hence, the answer is concave morror.

Hope it helps.....

Hey there !!

What is the nature of mirror having focal length of +15 cm ?

=> As here we can see focal length is in plus sign it means it is either plane mirror or Convex mirror but we also know both have almost same properties When mirror is formed , it has curve outward but in plane mirror it structure as it name suggest plane , it diverges the image ,

PROPERTIES  \:  \: OF  \:  \:  \:  \: IMAGE  \:  \: WHEN \:  \:  \:  IT FORMS  \:  \: IN  \:  \: CONVEX \:  \:  OR  \: PLANE \:  MIRROR  \: ARE  \:  =  >
It will form-

☆Erect

☆ Virtual

☆ Magnified or diminished image

Now in second Question we are given that

What is the nature of the mirror having a focal length of -20cm ?

As we have focal length in Minus or negative sign so it is a concave mirror

It is Mirror that have curve inward and it converges the image

which forms always -

☆ Real Image( but there is one condition where it forms virtual image , when we place an object between focal length and pole then image will be at behind the mirror and that will be virtual )

☆ Inverted

☆ diminished

Hope this helps u !!
