(i) When key is open, current does not flow throuh 2 and 3 ohms. So,

Effective external resistance = 5Ω

Total resistance R = 5.5 Ω

(ii) Current drawn

I = V/R

I = 3.3/5.5

I = 0.6 A

(iii) 2 and 3 Ω are in series so R = 2+ 3 = 5 Ω

5 Ω and 5Ω are in parallel , so R' = 5/2 = 2.5Ω

Total resistance when key is closed R'' = 3Ω

(iv) Current drawn

I' = V/R''

I' = 3.3 / 3

I' = 1.1 A
