4.no question answer-----The changing of color of a substance is not necessarily an indicator of a chemical change. For example, changing the color of a metal does not change its physical properties. However, in a chemical reaction, acolor change is usually an indicator that a reaction is occurring.

3.no question answer------When carbon dioxide is passed through lime water it turns milky due to the formation of water insoluble precipitate CaCO3. Still if excess of CO2 is passed it forms water solubleCalcium bicarbonate . Thus the solution remains clear.

2.no question answer------When Iron nail (Ferrum) is dipped inCopper sulphate (CuSO4) there takes reaction between them andcoppersulphate change its color from blue to light green. This shows Iron ismore reactive than Copper, it canreplace Copper from CuSO4. CuSO4 isin blue Color and FeSO4 is in lightgreen color.

vikram991: Dear Student,

Lime water is calcium hydroxide (Ca(OH)2. When carbon dioxide is passed into it, it turns milky because of the formation of calcium carbonate (CaCO3). The reaction involved is as follows,

Ca(OH)2 + CO2 → CaCO3 + H2O

Hope this answers your question,

Cheers!!
vikram991: Lime water turns milky when you pass carbon dioxide through it because a reaction that produces a white precipitate takes place.

When you pass carbon dioxide through this solution, the two compounds carbon dioxide (CO2) and calcium hydroxide (CaOH2) will react to form white and insoluble calcium carbonate which precipitates out of the solution. The reaction is as follows:

Ca(OH)2(aq) + CO2(g) →CaCO3(s)↓+H2O
