(ii) 3 sin^2 45 + 2 cos^2 60

We know that sin 45 = 1/√2 and cos 60 = sin 30 = 1/2.

⇒ 3(1/√2)^2 + 2(1/2)^2

⇒ 3(1/2) + 2(1/4)

⇒ (3/2) + (2/4)

⇒ (3/2) + (1/2)

⇒ 4/2

2.

(2)

Given 0 ≤ x ≤ 90.

Given sinx° = cos x°

⇒ sin x°/cos x° = 1

⇒ Tan x° = 1

⇒ Tan x° = Tan 45°

x = 45°.

Hope this helps!
