2. Settled life is more interesting as the security of both food and shelter that a settled lifestyle provides is overwhelmingly greater than the adventure and exposure gained through nomadic lifestyle.

• Settled Lifestyle: Advantages are food security, shelter security, protection from the elements of nature. Disadvantages include inability to explore better places to settle and possibly stagnation in innovation and development, through agricultural sector.
• Nomadic Lifestyle: Advantages are exposure to newer cultures, ideas and tools to enhance knowledge and technology, and adventurous spirit of humans being satisfied. Disadvantages include lack of assurance or guarantee of proper food and shelter, and lack of protection from nature.

3. Music and dance played a key role in medieval Indian society. The hindustani music of the north and the carnatic music of the south, along with dance forms such as Kathak and Bharatanatyam provided important entertainment in the times, but also act as a medium of expression of ancient Indian history and epics. Hence, art forms do play a major role in shaping our societies.
