Answer these with explanations

1) A car travels at a speed of 55 km/h. Find the distance travelled by the car in 12 minutes and 30 seconds, giving your answer in meters
2) A car and a bus are travelling towards each other . They are 510 km apart at 13: 20 and they pass each other at 16:20. If the car is travelling at a speed of 90 km/h, find the speed of the bus.

1) Speed = 55km/h = 55 × 5/18 m/s = 275 /18 m/s

Time = 12min 30 sec = 720 + 30 sec 750 sec

Now Distance = Speed ×Time = 275÷18 × 750 = 11458.33 m
