Answer for only question 5

Step-by-step explanation:

1) Draw a line segment BC = 5 cm. Construct an angle ∠60°.

2) Construct another line segment BD = 7.5 cm on angle B.

3) Connect D and C and draw a perpendicular bisector to DC.

4) Mark its intersecting point with DC as O and with BD as A.

5) Join points A and C. Hence Δ ABC is formed.

Justification:

In ΔOAD and ΔOAC

OD = OC ( OA is a perpendicular bisector to DC )

∠AOD = ∠AOC ( OA is a perpendicular bisector to DC )

OA = OA ( Commom )

By SAS congruency criterion,

ΔOAD ≅ ΔOAC

By CPCT, AD = AC

AB + AD

= AB + AC = 7.5 cm

Hence justified
