(2x-2a)(-2b)=(2y-2b)(-2a)

-4bx+4ab=-4ay+4ab

-4bx=-4ay

bx=ay
as by question
(x-a)b=(y-b)a
bx-ab=ay-ab
bx=ay
hence proved

[2x - 2a] [-2b] = [2y - 2b] [-2a]

● Take 2 common from [2x - 2a] and [2y - 2b]

=> 2[x - a] [-2b] = 2[y - b] [-2a]

=> 2 × [x - a] × [-2b]=2 × [y - b] × [-2a]

=> 2 × [-2b] × [x -a] = 2 × [-2a]× [y - b]

=> -4b × [x -a] = -4a × [y - b]

● cancel the -4 on both sides

=> b [x - a] = a [y- b]

=> [x - a] [b] = [y - b] [a]
