In order to understand this question first draw a projectile in your copy .

Mark the projection velocity vectors as components.

Now we know that in a projectile, acceleration is available only in the

y- axis ( i.e. gravity).

No acceleration is available in the x -axis.

So, when the projectile again reaches the ground, the x axis velocity will still be the same as the x axis projection velocity.

But, the y axis velocity will simply be reversed ( i.e. magnitude will remain same, but direction reversed ).

Keeping these points in mind , the answer is

option b) 3i - 4j m/s.
