☘Let AB be a secant with its corresponding chord PQ in the circle.

☘Let us think of a case where chord shifts towards the outside of the circle.

☘The chord PQ will gradually decrease in size and finally a point will come where the two points will finally coincide to form a single point .

☘And at that point, the secant AB will touch the circle at only point and form a tangent.
