Hii friend,

Here is your answer......

The correct answer is option (c) .

explanation:-

The incident angle is 60°

The angle is reflection is reducting 15° per medium and at last the angle of reflection at the medium 3 is 15°.

Then by using Snell's law,

Mu =>sin i /sin r

I=60°. r =15°

Then by applying,

mu => √3.

Hope this helps you a little!!!

WhatsInTheName: saka where the value of sin 15 u have used.
saka82411: by using sin 15° it becomes 1/2 and the 2 will be cancelled
WhatsInTheName: but value of sin 15 is not 1 by 2
saka82411: by using the formula sin (45-30)°
WhatsInTheName: why unnecessarily to use this.

hey the above final answer is correct but the assertion is not.
here is how to proceed.
first let the relative RI of 1 and 2 medium be
¶1
therefore ¶1 = sin i / sin r = sin 60 / sin 45=
( \sqrt{3} \div 2) \div 1 \div \sqrt{2}
...............(I)
now let ¶2 be the relative RI of 2 and 3 medium
therefore ¶2 = sin i/ sin r= sin 45/sin30 =
(1 \div \sqrt{2} ) \div (1 \div 2)
---------(2)
by dividing eqn 1 by 2
we get
( \sqrt{3} \div \sqrt{2} ) \div ( \sqrt{2} \div 1)
but if we invert eqn 2nd we get med. 3 /med.2
= 1/√2
therefore finally med. 1/med. 3=
 (\sqrt{3 } \div \sqrt{2} ) \div (1 \div \sqrt{2} )
= √3/1= √3

hope you are satisfied.

WhatsInTheName: loco whats the correct option
WhatsInTheName: DO MARK BRAINLIST IF FIND THIS HELPFUL.
locomaniac: 3rd one...
WhatsInTheName: okay...just confirming.....mark brainlist also.
locomaniac: i am confused xD sorry
saka82411: mark him as brainliest bcuz i don't need it
WhatsInTheName: dont be confused.:-P
locomaniac: +_+ god save me.
WhatsInTheName: god saves those , who mark brainlist.
