AB^2=BC^2 - AC^2

AB^2=13^2-12^2

AB^2=25

AB=5

area of triangle ABC=1/2 ×base×height

                                   1/2×5×12

                                   30

if taken BC as base then area of triangle ABC=1/2×BC×AD

                                                                             13/2×AD

so,13/2×AD=30

    AD=60/13
