1)4x^2-3x-1

4x^2+1x-4x-1

4x(x+1)-4(x+1)

4x-4=0. x+1=0

4x=4. x=1

x=4/4

x=1. x=1

1,1are the zeroes of the polynomial 4x^2-3x-1

Relationship between zeroes and coefficients

Sum of zeroes=-(coefficient of x)/coefficient of x^2=-(-3)/4=3/4

Product of zeroes=constant term/coefficient of x^2=-1/4

ii)3x^2+4x-4

3x^2+6x-2x-4

3x(x+2)-2(x+2)

3x-2=0. x+2=0

x=2/3. x=-2

2/3,-2 are the zeroes of the polynomial 3x^2+4x-4

Relationship between zeroes and coefficients

Sum of zeroes=-(coefficient of x)/coefficient of x^2=-4/3

Product of zeroes=constant term/coefficient of x^2=-4/3
