 =  >  \frac{4x}{5}  \:  -  \frac{3x}{8} = 68\\  \\  =  >  \frac{32x - 15x}{40}  = 68 \\  \\  =  >  \frac{17x}{40}  = 68 \\  \\   =  > 17x = 2720 \\  \\  =  > x = 160

Let the number be take x

So, According to the question

 \frac{4}{5} of \: x -  \frac{3}{8} \: of \: x = 68

 \frac{4x}{5}  -  \frac{3x}{8 =} = 68

 \frac{32x - 15}{40}  = 68

 \frac{17x}{40}  = 68

so \: x =  \frac{68 \times40 }{17}  = 160

So the number is 160.
