amoeba does not have a mouth for eating food.

but it eats food with the help of pseudopodia or false hands.

when the food particle come near the amoeba, the hand like projections stretch and engulf the food material.

after the food enters the body a food vacuole is created. and the nutrients are absorbed, and the excess is stored.

after this the waste material is ejected out.
