Step-by-step explanation:

Given -

PQ, MN and RS intersect at O.

x : y = 1 : 3

∠PON = ∠z = 120°

To Find -

∠ROM and ∠POR

Now,

∠PON = ∠MOQ = 120°

(Vertically Opposite angles)

Let a be the angle.

Then,

QOS = x = a

MOR= y = 3a

Then,

∠MOR + ∠MOQ + ∠QOS = 180°

(Angle sum property)

= 3a + 120° + a = 180°

= 4a = 180° - 120°

= 4a = 60°

  • = a = 15°

Then,

  • ∠QOS = ∠x = a = 15°
  • ∠MOR = ∠y = 3a = 3 × 15 = 45°

∠POR = ∠QOS = 15°

(Vertically Opposite Angles)

Hence,

The required ∠s are -

POR = 15°

ROM = 45°

Additional information -

Angle sum property -

  • Sum of all angles in a straight line is equal to 180°

Or

  • The sum of angles that are formed on a straight line is equal to 180°
