Also, P(B) = p0 + ρgh1................(2)

equating 1 & 2

p0 + ρgh1  =  p0 + ρgh2 + ρad

=> gh1 = gh2 + ad

=> g(h1-h2) = ad

=> h1-h2 = ad/g
