They together pressurized the merchant to give rice for the people affeced by the cyclone. His team of youth volunteers cleaned the shelter and tended to the wounds of the people who were injured. He with the help of orphaned children constructed a polythene shelter. Women were given the task to look after them while the men secured food and other essentials. He was an excellent leader and had good organizational capabilities.
