Anonymous: sin^2 + cos^2 is 1...
Anonymous: so, 1+ 2sin.cos is x^2
Anonymous: 2sincos is x^2 - 1
Anonymous: Sin.cos is (x^2 - 1)/2
Anonymous: Hence, sin^2 cos^2 = (sin.cos)^2 = {(x^2 - 1)/2} ^2
