let present ages of kalika and his son be x and y
then given that x=4y ......i
after 24 years their ages will be x+24 and y+24
then it is given that she is 2 times older that of his son So
x+24 = 2(y+24)
x+24 = 2y+48
x-2y = 24 ......ii
solving equation i and ii
4y-2y = 24
y = 12
x = 4*12 = 48
hence the age of kalika is 48 and his son is 12
