2) Carbon cannot reduce the oxides of Na and Mg because oxygen is more electronegative than carbon. So Carbon cannot displace oxygen.

3) NaCl is not a good conductor of electricity in SOLID STATE. NaCl conducts electricity in aqueous and molten state, because in these states, the ions can easily move and hence produce electricity. This movement of ions is not possible in solid state.

4) Metals like K, Ca, Mg are highly reactive and are not found in free state in nature. K is usually present in oxides, whereas Ca and Mg are usually present in carbonates.
