At height of 2m

Total E = KE + PE

From 3rd equation of motion,

v²-u² = 2gs

v² = 2 (10)(3)

v² = 60 m²/s²

KE = mv²/2

KE = 10 X 60 / 2

KE = 300 J

PE = m g h = 10(10)(2) = 200 J

TE = 500 J

Before hitting,

PE = 0

KE = mv²/2

v² = 2gh = 2(10)5

v² = 100

KE = 10 X 100/2

KE = 500J
