here given that
a = 2 + √3
1/a = 1/2+√3
taking the congugate we have
1/2+√3 × 2-√3 / 2 - √3 = 2 - √3/1
= 2-√3
as per question
a - 1/a = 2 + √3 - 2 +√3
= √3 + √3
= 2√3
a = 2 + √3
1/a = 1/2+√3
taking the congugate we have
1/2+√3 × 2-√3 / 2 - √3 = 2 - √3/1
= 2-√3
as per question
a - 1/a = 2 + √3 - 2 +√3
= √3 + √3
= 2√3
