Hemoglobin is the protein molecule in red blood cells that carries oxygen from the lungs to the body's tissues and returns carbon dioxide from the tissues back to the lungs. Hemoglobin is made up of four protein molecules (globulin chains) that are connected together.

Deficiency of Haemoglobin in the body results in 

1. Shortage of blood in the body.  This is called also anaemia.

2. Shortage of Oxygen supply to various parts of the body.

3. Weakness or general tiredness. Cannot work very hard. Get tired too soon.

4. Person could catch viral diseases or other diseases more quickly.
