Given Number of balls be red = x.

           The number of balls be white = 2x.

          The number of balls be blue = 3x.

Given Number of balls in the bag = 24.

          x + 2x + 3x = 24

             6x = 24

               x = 4.

Then the number of red balls = 4.

The number of white balls = 2 * 4 = 8

The number of blue balls = 3 * 4 = 12.


(1) Probability of getting a not-red ball = 8 + 12/24

                                                                = 20/24

                                                                = 5/6.


(2) Probability of getting a white ball = 8/24

                                                             = 1/3.
