Given:

\bold{x+\frac{1}{x} }=6

So apply

(\bold{x+\frac{1}{x} })^2=x^2+1/x^2+2

(6)^2=x^2+1/x^2+2

36-2=x^2+1/x^2

34=x^2+1/x^2.

It is given that,.

x+1/x = 6 ----(1)

x²+1/x² = (x+1/x)²-2

= 6² - 2

= 36 - 2

= 34 ------(2)

x⁴+1/x⁴ = (x²+1/x²)² - 2

= 34² - 2

= 1156- 2

= 1154

Therefore,.

x⁴ + 1/x⁴ = 1154.
