money spent for book=1/2
money spent for movie=1/6
therefore, money spent for dress=x+1/2+1/6=3/4
LCM=6
6×x+6×1/2+6×1/6=6×3/4
6x+3+1=9/2
multiply with 2,
2×6x+2×4=2×9/2
12x+8=9
12x=9-8=1
therefore, x=1/12
