Answer:

if we take D(diameter of circle) = 15 then radius is (r)= 7.5

and the area of circle is = π r2

then - 3.14×7.5×7.5

176.625

and area of rectangle is = L×B

length(L)= 8cm

breath(B)= 15cm

area = 8×15

= 120

the shaded area = area of circle - the area of rectangle

= 176.625-120

=56.625

second way

if we draw a diagonal in rectangle then tha diagnoal is diameter of circle then we can find radius of circle and solve the question same as above method

l²=b²+h²

l=?

b=15

h=8

apply the formula

l²=15²+8²

l²= 225+64

l²= 289

l=17

then radius of circle is 8.5

apply circle area formula == π r2

= 3.14×8.5×8.5

=226.865

shaded area = 226.865- 120

= 106.865
